Known for a gentle approach and attention to detail, Mickey takes pride in creating a comfortable environment where patients feel heard and cared for. Continually pursuing professional development, Mickey actively keeps up with advancements in dental technology and evidence-based practices, and has completed additional training in orthodontics, implant therapy, and periodontal surgery. Irin grew up here in the North Shore. A proud Westlake Girls graduate, she earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction from the University of Otago in 2013. Her dental career started as a house surgeon at Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals before moving into private practice, where she has built a reputation for her gentle care, especially with anxious patients and those with complex medical needs. Adapt at general and emergency dentistry, she also has special interests in aligner orthodontics, oral surgery and implant dentistry with further training under Dr. Derek Mahony and in surgical implantology. Outside of work, she can be found vacuuming after her Ragdoll cats, hunting down the best coffees in town, or traveling with her young child in tow. Irin is bilingual in English and Korean.
